The Profhilo Glow, explained

Profhilo is often described as an injectable moisturiser because it delivers a high concentration of hyaluronic acid beneath the skin to support hydration, elasticity and overall skin quality.

Unlike a topical moisturiser, Profhilo is injected at specific points, allowing it to spread through the surrounding tissue. Hyaluronic acid naturally attracts and retains moisture, helping the skin appear smoother, fresher and more luminous.

Profhilo may help improve:

  • Hydration and suppleness

  • Fine, crepey texture

  • Skin elasticity

  • Overall radiance

  • Subtle plumpness

Results tend to develop gradually over the following weeks and are designed to look natural rather than dramatically change your appearance.

Profhilo is usually recommended as a course of two treatments, typically spaced around four weeks apart. Maintenance treatments may then be considered depending on your skin, response and wider treatment plan.

A consultation is important to assess your skin and decide whether Profhilo is the most suitable option for you.

Profhilo can form part of a wider approach to supporting skin quality and collagen over time. This is sometimes referred to as collagen banking: taking consistent steps to maintain the skin’s structure, hydration and resilience.

Injectable treatments are only one part of this. Daily SPF, evidence-based skincare, good sleep, regular exercise, a balanced diet and avoiding smoking all play an important role in maintaining healthy skin.

At Glow with Dr Hazel in Manchester, Profhilo treatments are provided following a personalised, doctor-led consultation. Treatment is only recommended where it is suitable and likely to offer a meaningful benefit.
